Actress Priyanka Chopra has responded to Shah Rukh Khan’s recent rumors of not working in Hollywood because of “comfort”. He said he doesn’t need proof and his money is not more than his work. Priyanka, who has worked in East and West projects, appeared alongside Shah Rukh in Don and Don 2.
He made his debut back in 2002 and moved to Hollywood almost eight years ago. He gained recognition in the West after appearing on television Quantico and made his first film in it Baywatch in 2017 with Dwayne Johnson. He will next appear in the Russo Brothers’ spy-thriller web series Citadel.
While promoting the series, Priyanka was asked about Shah Rukh Khan’s recent statement about not wanting to be part of a Hollywood film. According to Hindustan Timesa reporter at the SXSW festival asked Priyanka, “Shah Rukh Khan said, ‘Why should I go there? [Hollywood]I am comfortable here.'” In response, Priyanka said, “Comfort is not interesting to me. I am not arrogant, I believe in myself. I know what I do or when I walk on a set. I don’t need it. The approval of the directors, I’m willing to take tests, I’m willing to work.
Priyanka further stated that her money is not more than her work. “I am a very professional person and if you ask the people around me, I am known for my professional skills. I am proud of it. My father was in the military and he taught me to the importance of discipline. He taught me not to take for granted the importance of what is given to you,” he added.
Priyanka believes that she has created a legacy for herself and her hard work deserves credit. He stressed that he does not waste his time on anything else but just “falls short of bullets and focuses” on his work.
Priyanka recently hosted a pre-Oscars party for South Asian Excellence in Los Angeles. Not only that Citadelhe is Love Again in the pipeline this year. She will also be seen in Farhan Akhtar’s next, Jee Le Saraawith Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
