PESHAWAR:
Peshawar Institute of Cardiology (PIC-MTI) became the first national health center in Pakistan to introduce the new Rotapro system.
PIC Spokesperson Riffat Anjum said on Friday that one smart device can help remove calcium from the heart arteries.
He added that a special group of PIC cardiologists managed a 60-year-old patient with Rotapro, a new method of treatment.
Dr Abidullah, head of the cardiology department PIC, said that the latest ROTAPRO treatment in Pakistan is another special treatment that combines the minimum of complications with the maximum. According to him, Rotational Atherectomy is a new way to treat heart lesions.
It is a tool for PCI systems, which helps to improve the code and prepare the vessels, for installation.
This technology is used to treat patients with coronary artery disease that causes chest pain and possible heart attacks, said Dr Abid.
