In Ashima Chibber’s film, Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway, Rani Mukerji stars as an Indian mother separated from her children, who are taken to a foreign country. The drama is based on real life events and is produced by Emmay Entertainment.
Attending a promotional program for the same, Mukerji met Sagarika Chakaraborty, the mother whose life inspired the film, and was moved to see her. Rani, who has had a lot of fun with husband Aditya Chopra’s productions for the past few years, said that she is not limited to working with Yash Raj Films and is also open to working with others. .
According to Hindustan Times, he further stated that Aditya was impressed with his performance in the film and told him “Good luck!” Aditya and Rani tied the knot in 2014 and became parents to a daughter, Adira Chopra, in 2015.
In the episode, Rani also talked about working with other industries and shared Aditya’s reaction after watching the film. He said, “My husband works with many actresses, why shouldn’t I work with other producers? All I need is a good script – be it YRF or something else. Adi was shocked to see the film. He was very moved and I ‘ I don’t think I’ve seen him so moved by any film.”
He added, “The last thing that really affected him was when uncle Yash died. He is an old man these days, so it hit him. He was very sweet and hugged him. to me as if I were his son. and I said, ‘thank you’. A moment later Adi praised me behind my back. I think he couldn’t stop himself and he was moved by the picture.”
Last month, the Netflix docu-series held the first exclusive interview with Aditya after many years. The producer opened up to director Smriti Mundhra about the history and legacy of Yash Raj Films which was founded by her father, Yash Chopra. Rani was also featured in the series with many other A-list stars from Bollywood including Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Amitabh Bachchan and many more.
Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway will be released on March 17.
