Sony has announced an update to the PS5 and Discord voice chat

Sony has released a major PS5 update for all users that includes the long-awaited integration of voice chat service Discord.

Players can use the Discord app on phones or PCs to transfer calls to consoles. Currently, the update only supports audio.

As of now, Version 7 the PS5 software is available for all consoles, allowing the latest updates to run.

In addition to the Discord integration, the new update has improved the resolution to 1440p and the ability to transfer information between PS5 consoles.
