Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor is setting the record straight after journalist Javed Akhtar’s recent comments about Pakistan. The former was asked last year if he would be willing to work on a Pakistan project. On this, Kapoor, while saying that art transcends borders, shared that he would be open to the idea of making a film on a work of a neighboring country if the story is must be explained.
However, the player has revealed that his first statement was ‘false’. In a recent announcement of his latest offering, Stand Jhoothi Main Makkar, Kapoor shared that he agreed to the question because he did not want to make a controversial statement.
According to The Indian Expressof the Damas The actor said, “I think I made a mistake. I went on a film tour and many Pakistani filmmakers asked me this question, ‘If you have a good subject you would done?’ So, I didn’t want to be controversial in any way.
The actor added, “I don’t think this is a debate. (It’s not a big controversy) But, to me, movies are movies, and movies are movies. I worked with Fawad ( Khan) in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. I know many artists from Pakistan. Rahat (Fateh Ali Khan) and Atif Aslam are great singers who have always contributed to Hindi cinema. So, the cinema it’s the cinema. I don’t think cinema knows any boundaries.”
However, Kapoor added that the art is not better than the country. He concluded, “But, yes, you have to respect art but at the same time the art is not better than your country. Therefore, anyone who does not have a good relationship with your country, your priority is your country.
In a chat with fans and media at the GQ meet and greet, the Sanju star opened up about working with his colleagues on this side of the border while congratulating the Pakistani film industry for the production of record works.
An attendee asked if Kapoor would work with Pakistani actors and actresses. Pakistani artists have been banned from working in India since 2016. “Art has no borders and I certainly do. In fact, I would like to congratulate Pakistani cinema on the great success of [The Legend of] Maula Jatt,” he said.
The star-studded film, The Legend of Maula Jatt, which released in October, recently became the highest-grossing Pakistani film of all time. Kapoor says he is a fan of popular Pakistani and Bollywood singer Atif Aslam. “When he sings, it’s like a hero’s song,” he said.

Kapoor is currently busy promoting his rom-com, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar, which stars Shraddha Kapoor. The actor will be seen as a gangster in Animal. Apart from these two cities, the name of Kapoor was also known as one of the many contenders to write the story of the Indian cricketer, Saurav Ganguly in history.
Talking about the same, Kapoor rubbished rumors about acting in the Ganguly biopic but shared that he will be playing Bollywood veteran Kishore Kumar in an untitled film. “I think dada (Sourav Ganguly) is a living legend not only in India, but in the whole world. A biopic on him will be very special. Unfortunately, mujhe yeh film offer nahi huyi hai (I was not offered this film).I think the makers at Luv Films are still writing the story.
Kapoor went on to talk about being a part of Kumar’s biopic, and shared, “I have been working on Kishore Kumar’s biopic for 11 years. I wrote that with Anurag Basu and I hope it will be my autobiography. But until now I have not heard anything about the biopic being made on him. So, I don’t know.”
In daughter and fatherhood
In the same press conference, the Rockstar actor also talked about his newborn daughter, Raha. The model also revealed his fatherly side during the conversation as he described him as a ‘specialist’, adding, “He just started smiling two weeks ago. And the look at that smile that breaks your heart. It’s like a new understanding of love.”
Kapoor then added, “This morning, even taking those 20 minutes with him before my flight, it rejuvenates you. I miss him so much, I still look at him. his laugh” Ranbir went to ask a reporter, “Are you a boy?” The author said no. “All right!
