Karachi Kings pacer, Mohammad Amir, seems to have ignored Shahid Afridi’s advice as he behaved rudely during his team’s match against Lahore Qalandars on Sunday in Karachi.

The left-arm pacer bowled just two overs and scored 12 runs, while Shai Hope took the lone wicket.

However, after Hope was dismissed, courtesy of a brilliant catch by Irfan Khan Niazi, Amir was seen making a rude gesture while celebrating the wicket.

Earlier this week, Afridi revealed that he scolded Amir for his behavior on the field in the first two matches for Karachi Kings in the HBL Pakistan Super League season eight.

“Whenever a player doesn’t play, even if he does, I give him a message to call him. Likewise, I walked Amir yesterday. I spoke to him with respect, but I also scolded him. I said to Amir, ‘what do you want?’ You got a lot of respect, you faced a mark on your name and from there, you came back. You have a new life, in a way. What are you trying to do?” Afridi said.

“Is this the way to play? There are young children around you, you are using bad words. There are fans who are sad to see that happen. Even we have used these words and sometimes, the camera has used them to record us. There are families, children watching you on television. The attack is good, but control it well,” said Afridi.

However, the Karachi captain, Imad Wasim, came out to support his left-hander.

“A fast driver should be aggressive. I don’t think he does anything on purpose, it happens in hot moments,” said Imad.

“If there is no opposition to him by the players, nothing will happen to me,” he added.
