Karachi Kings pacer, Mohammad Amir, has opened up about his on-field clash with Peshawar Zalmi captain, Babar Azam, on Wednesday.

Babar made a knock of 68 runs off 46 balls against Kings. During the match, he introduced Amir for a boundary, which left the left-arm pacer scared and he threw the next ball towards Babar in desperation.

“It’s a heat of the moment and nothing specific [against Babar]. The batsmen have to show aggression on the field, to get the best out of them,” Amir said in the pre-match interview today. Assignment

“I was under pressure in the game, that’s the beauty of this league. It helps you to be better,” he added.

Amir scored 42 runs in his four-over spell and remained wicketless.

The left-arm pacer emphasized the need to stick to the basics.

“In T20, there is no guarantee for success, so you have to execute your plans. If you keep making mistakes, you cannot win the game,” he said.

“I thought our team was good, but little things can make a big difference. There is a long way to go in the tournament,” he concluded.
