Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik along with Kings captain Imad Wasim claimed a record while representing Karachi Kings in yesterday’s match against Peshawar Zalmi.
Tupu, led by Imad, won the toss and decided to be the first in the field. The result did not favor the Karachi Kings, as Zalmi scored 199 runs in their first match.

Babar Azam, who led Peshawar for the first time, scored 46-ball 68 runs, including seven boundaries and one six.
Star-spinner Tom-Kohler Cadmore scored a 50-ball 92 runs, including seven boundaries and six big sixes.
In reply, the Kings got off to a bad start when opener Sharjeel Khan was sent back to the wicket for a golden duck. Matthew Wade started brilliantly but was later dismissed by Jimmy Neesham.
The game favored Zalmi at one point, but later, it felt strengthened thanks to the return of the Kings.
Captain Imad Wasim and Shoaib Malik formed a great partnership that changed the entire game for Kings.
Imad Wasim scored a 47-ball 80, including seven fours and a massive six.
Shoaib Malik also played a crucial knock as he scored 34-ball 52 runs, including four boundaries and two huge sixes.
The game ended badly for Zalmi as they needed nine runs off the last delivery.
The pair of Imad Wasim and Shoaib Malik has become the top pair to hold the record of the highest 5-wicket partnership in the history of PSL.
