The queue at the first store in Lahore of the famous Canadian beer company, Tim Hortons, grew because the recently launched branch was crowded during the weekend.
Tim Hortons opened its first branch in the country to great response. However, it seems that Twitterati are not happy with the way the elites are lining up to get a trophy at a time when the country is facing its worst economic problems.’
Many took to social media to share photos of the launch day and call out anyone and everyone who waited in lines for hours to buy the popular coffee.
Good morning everyone except those who traveled to Tim Hortons yesterday. You have to have a life

How can you afford to stand in line for a cup of coffee for 5 hours?
Where is your respect? #TimHortons

When the country is in dire need of foreign investment. We are celebrating imported coffee. Tim hortons is like chai walla in Canada. https://t.co/5uORQwa9iB

However, others came to support the citizens who spent their days, waiting in line at Tims.
I don’t get you people. If we don’t have franchises like Tim Hortons you are complaining about how we are delayed & when we get it later you are complaining about the lines & economy.
To the lady complaining about the prices, you actually tweeted about spending 5k+ on Aylanto – if the shoe fits.

I’m not a fan of coffee. The truth is I can’t drink coffee. But if I could, I would line up for Tim Hortons. I don’t feel the need for honor. If there’s a new restaurant in town I step on the kids and retirees to come in. Go judge me.

Looking back on the Tim Hortons fiasco, I understand that Lahore had the best pre-Pak break because the residents were so busy making a spectacle out of it.
No one notices if the same was opened earlier in Islamabad https://t.co/yW5bp2Xa92

Then they become insults.
Hakumat ko chaiye ke 2 Khaadi ke stores aur 4 Tim Hortons khol ke IMF Ke muu per paisa maaray!

Too many people focus on the “Lahori” side but honestly as much as I love to make fun of Lahoris you probably see the same amount of people lining up line when Tim Hortons opens in Khi. I hate to tell this but aapka bhai is committed to telling the truth ๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ฏ

Pakistanis are queuing up for Tim Hortons to show that there are no government-run restaurants for the public.

The store will be the largest and first coffee shop in the car with more than 150 seats. The second and third stores will be opened in Gulberg, Lahore on February 18 and 25.
